EXID’S Up & Down single charted at no.3 at Japan’s Rechoku Chart, no.25 at Oversea’s MORA and charted respectively on iTunes.

As an effect of the reversal power, EXID topped music sites as well as crowned as winner for music shows. Although EXID did not promote in the overseas, obviously the effect could be felt at the same time.

Representative from YEDANG Entertainment said, “Although we do not have plans for any oversea activities, we’ve been receiving many love calls from event coordinators and companies.
Meanwhile, we’re putting our focus on domestic activities so that more fans will be able to see them active in the local scene.”

As EXID wrapped up their promotion recently, they’re diligently preparing the materials for their next album.

‘1000 Songs Challenge’ Ooolala Session-EXID, it’s not about the battle of senior/junior. It’s about explosive performances that captivate!

Along with appearances by senior Kim Young Ho, Hyun Jin Young, BEG (Narsha & Jea), hot girl group EXID successfully took on challenges during JTBC 1000 Songs Challenge without feeling daunted by the senior contenders in the music industry.

While most contenders got eliminated during the first round, the only teams that managed to advance to the second round were Ooolala Session and EXID.

Especially ‘experienced rookie’ Solji who took on the challenge by singing ‘Resignation’, a song by Big Mama.

It became a hot topic among netizen and obviously the bar has been raised. EXID’s in a situation where they’re looking forward for the upcoming songs/genre that they’ll have to challenge later on.

As opposed from their usual sexy girl group image, it’s unexpected that they possess such powerful vocal. Right after the broadcast, Solji was ranked in the top of various portal sites. She’s known to be previously debuted in a duo (2NB) and being an aspiring vocal trainer. Hence, she’s also being labelled as an ‘experienced’ rookie.

The production crew shared that for the upcoming broadcast on the 27th, not only Solji’s vocal skill is shown, member Hani also performed a song by Park Ji Yoon. The audiences were entertained by Hani’s enjoyable and visually-pleasant stage.

For the episode, experienced OooLaLa Session (Superstar K 3 winner) managed to advance to the second round by completing the song, ‘Happy Cherry Ending’ by BuskerBusker.

For this week’s broadcast, Ooolala Session will be challenging on an uptempo dance song. Tickets to Hawaii in on the line. It’s between EXID and OooLaLa Session.

[INTERVIEW] 20150121 EXID Interview with Star News

There are expectations for the earnings of girl group EXID (LE Junghwa Hani Solji and Hyerin) for their promotion on the ‘Up and Down’ hit single.
On the 21st MBC Show Champion’s waiting room, StarNews met EXID’s Solji.

[Solji] The company said that the profits earned will be calculated by this month. From the start of ‘Up and Down promo activities, this will be the first time ever that we’re expecting to receive a profit settlement.

There were no other separate settlements before. But we are told to be receiving some amount this time around.

Initially Junghwa was one of the investors for the company while the rest are in loss(negative). This time things turned around and numbers said are likely to be in the positive.

Since its gonna be the first time that we’re able to receive money, it has a very deep meaning for us.

[Reporter] February’s likely to be filled with lots of events and their schedules are packed.

EXID’s Up and Down received lots of love from the public that they became the hottest girl group from the second half of 2014. Seemed they’ve settled for a special position amongst other groups out there.

On the 27th of August, a fancam of ‘Up and Down’ received hot attention.Slowly but steadily the song took 5months to climb from lower positions to number 1 on real time chart.

Charting continued and EXID’s requested to perform in broadcast programmes and even won them.

Solji said it was a blessing that people around made this possible. They still feel surreal and promised to reveal a quality album in the future.

[Solji] It’s a really huge present for EXID so we will seriously think hard and put effort on the next album to not disappoint fans who gave their love to EXID.

We will show everyone with improved skills and much better performances.

For the promotions done this time around, event like ‘forced-comeback made Junghwa feel amazed. Especially at one point, when they’ve reached number 1.

[ARTICLE] ‘Top Gear Korea 6’, EXID explosively free-dancing made studio atmosphere ‘hot in seconds’

On the 18th Jan, exid Hani solji n junghwa made appearances on the broadcast of topgearkorea6. Stars’ driving skills are tested and examined during ‘Star LabTime ‘ segment.

For the broadcast EXID caught the audiences’ attention by performing ‘Up and Down. MC KimJinPyo, Danny Ahn, Yoo Kyeong Wook requested for random dance and without hesitatation EXID danced and paraded freely and dorkily. Especially member Hani even requested for hotter/catchier music to be played in order to show her hidden dance talent. Definitely she’s a hidden gem in variety and entertainment show.

During the test observation, Solji was seated at driver seat while Hani at passenger seat. Solji was screaming wildly while Hani enjoyed her ride.
