As an effect of the reversal power, EXID topped music sites as well as crowned as winner for music shows. Although EXID did not promote in the overseas, obviously the effect could be felt at the same time.

Representative from YEDANG Entertainment said, “Although we do not have plans for any oversea activities, we’ve been receiving many love calls from event coordinators and companies.
Meanwhile, we’re putting our focus on domestic activities so that more fans will be able to see them active in the local scene.”

She’s known to be previously debuted in a duo (2NB) and being an aspiring vocal trainer. Hence, she’s also being labelled as an ‘experienced’ rookie.

The production crew shared that for the upcoming broadcast on the 27th, not only Solji’s vocal skill is shown, member Hani also performed a song by Park Ji Yoon. The audiences were entertained by Hani’s enjoyable and visually-pleasant stage.

For the episode, experienced OooLaLa Session (Superstar K 3 winner) managed to advance to the second round by completing the song, ‘Happy Cherry Ending’ by BuskerBusker.

There are expectations for the earnings of girl group EXID (LE Junghwa Hani Solji and Hyerin) for their promotion on the ‘Up and Down’ hit single.
On the 21st MBC Show Champion’s waiting room, StarNews met EXID’s Solji.

[Solji] The company said that the profits earned will be calculated by this month. From the start of ‘Up and Down promo activities, this will be the first time ever that we’re expecting to receive a profit settlement.

There were no other separate settlements before. But we are told to be receiving some amount this time around.

Initially Junghwa was one of the investors for the company while the rest are in loss(negative). This time things turned around and numbers said are likely to be in the positive.

Since its gonna be the first time that we’re able to receive money, it has a very deep meaning for us.

[Reporter] February’s likely to be filled with lots of events and their schedules are packed.

EXID’s Up and Down received lots of love from the public that they became the hottest girl group from the second half of 2014. Seemed they’ve settled for a special position amongst other groups out there.

On the 27th of August, a fancam of ‘Up and Down’ received hot attention.Slowly but steadily the song took 5months to climb from lower positions to number 1 on real time chart.

Charting continued and EXID’s requested to perform in broadcast programmes and even won them.

Solji said it was a blessing that people around made this possible. They still feel surreal and promised to reveal a quality album in the future.

[Solji] It’s a really huge present for EXID so we will seriously think hard and put effort on the next album to not disappoint fans who gave their love to EXID.

We will show everyone with improved skills and much better performances.

For the promotions done this time around, event like ‘forced-comeback made Junghwa feel amazed. Especially at one point, when they’ve reached number 1.

[ARTICLE] ‘Top Gear Korea 6’, EXID explosively free-dancing made studio atmosphere ‘hot in seconds’

On the 18th Jan, exid Hani solji n junghwa made appearances on the broadcast of topgearkorea6. Stars’ driving skills are tested and examined during ‘Star LabTime ‘ segment.

For the broadcast EXID caught the audiences’ attention by performing ‘Up and Down. MC KimJinPyo, Danny Ahn, Yoo Kyeong Wook requested for random dance and without hesitatation EXID danced and paraded freely and dorkily. Especially member Hani even requested for hotter/catchier music to be played in order to show her hidden dance talent. Definitely she’s a hidden gem in variety and entertainment show.

During the test observation, Solji was seated at driver seat while Hani at passenger seat. Solji was screaming wildly while Hani enjoyed her ride.

Girl group EXID, who has had members withdrawing to be affiliated with another girl group, BESTie, poured their hearts out frankly.

EXID (Solji, LE, Hani, Hyelin, Junghwa), after transferring to Yedang entertainment earlier, has returned to their fans’ sides following the announcement of their single ‘Top Bottom’. This is a comeback after a year and 10 months, since the announcement of ‘Every Night’ in October 2012.

The group sat down for an interview recently with Newsen, sharing their thoughts on their comeback after about two full years, “the feeling of getting discharged after enlisting in the army”. “During the period of inactivity, for the sake of development, each respective member had a lot of personal time. The company was also caught up in a wave and was not in a state where an album could be released the next day”, they revealed the reason for their late announcement for their album.

During the period of inactivity, the members had to search for other alternative routes. Junghwa and Hyelin went through intense vocal training. Hani, who has always had an interest towards DJ-ing, devoted herself entirely in studying DJ-ing and Chinese. While LE continued to compose and write music consistently, Solji, as expected, helped in Shinsadong Tiger’s recordings as a vocal guide and exercised diligently.

After fully resting and gearing up their minds and hearts, EXID, who has returned to their fans’ sides, is particularly determined to face this round of activities with great resolve.
Maknae Junghwa said, “We had a long period of time without activities and it was because of this that we reflected a lot [as a group]. We also had our own individual worries and many thoughts filled up our hearts. Preparing for this song for as long as we did, we were not able to have fun on stage. We wanted to be able to show a little more of ourselves this time”.

Regarding the 3 members who withdrew from the group to be affiliated with BESTie, the EXID members thought brightly about them and also prayed for them.
Earlier on, EXID’s Haeryeong, Hyeyeon and Yuji withdrew from the team in April 2012 and were newly reborn as BESTie soon after.

Towards this, Junghwa confided, “BESTie promoted vigorously during the period where we rested. We saw them on our TV and the internet, thinking ‘They’re doing well, what a relief’.
During those days of the split with each going on their own paths, we respected the decisions made and also had a heart-to-heart talk”.

LE followed, “As we kick off our promotions, it is natural that we will be anxious, but it can’t be helped. However, to have our comeback become a main topic, these kinds of issues can be a bit worrying. We really have to do well to give everyone a good impression”, she explained.

Hani also added, “Seeing BESTie thriving and doing well in their promotions, we were envious at first. However, after thinking it through, we too have come back again and have focused entirely on working hard for our performance. Therefore, it is not wise for us to think like that. It will be good if everyone do well”. Hani let out her thoughts straightforwardly.

Lastly, Solji and Hyelin shared their thoughts, “It is undoubtedly true that having members leaving the team and coming out again together as a group is unprecedented, however, the two groups have completely settled in and it will be good if each of us do well. Inevitably, we would think each other as rivals. For the sake of development and growth, it is natural”.

EXID will be having their showcase on the 24th of August at Seoul, Gangnamgu Cheongdamdong basement and releasing their single ‘Top Bottom’ on the 27th.

[Article] EXID’s LE reveals the hilarious truth behind Hani’s ‘boyfriend shot’

EXID’s LE had fans laughing as she spoiled Hani’s fun with a behind-the-scenes photo!

Hani had tweeted a photo of herself on a bed, writing, “Is this what’s called a ‘boyfriend shot’???”. For those unfamiliar with the term, this might be interpreted as Hani’s boyfriend taking this shot for her. But, LE revealed the hilarious truth behind the photo with her own capture of the scene.

‘Boyfriend Shot’ is usually referred to casual photos of models or celebrities that people put on their phone as their backgrounds or wallpaper, potentially leading others to think that the person in the photo is the cellphone owner’s boyfriend due to the casual setting of the photo.

It seems like Hani was making her own version that fans could use to potentially pass her photo off as their girlfriend’s, and this process turned out to involve some skilled toes!

LE wrote, “Everyone, this is how Hani’s ‘boyfriend shot’ was made…….. She’s my dongseng, but this is just too much…. kekekeke”, leaving fans laughing along.

SBS ‘Inkigayo’ revives chart rankings

After a few months of experimenting with a ‘no-rank’ system, SBS‘s music program ‘Inkigayo‘ has announced a return to its original charting system, with a weekly winner to be announced once again.

The original ‘Mutizen chart’ was abandoned last year, and consisted of an aggregate score based on music sales, fan voting, broadcast points, and professional research.

The new ‘Inkigayo chart’, created in cooperation with the Gaon Chart, will reduce the number of factors to only the music sales and fan voting. The top 50 songs of the week will be put up for a vote, and fans will be able to cast their vote once a week through SBS’s official mobile app, SOTY.

‘Inkigayo’ will be returning to its ranking system starting on March 17th. The free SOTY app can be downloaded for both iOS and Android. Let the voting begin!

This song is once again the work of Shinsadong Tiger as well as Rado, and the lyrics have been written by Kim Hee Tam. This is actually a new version, or the “stage version”, of their previously released track included in their debut single ‘Goodbye‘.

It’s a song that any girl should be able to relate to as it sings of the feelings of regret and sadness associated with a breakup.

The girls once again showcase their talents as they help convey the message of the song through their vocals.
